The Choctaw Landfill, a type II facility, is a state of the art joint venture between
the Washington Parish Government and the City of Bogalusa. We are proud of our facility
and welcome the public to come for a tour. We also encourage schools to bring classes
for field trips. Our landfill manager also does presentations to schools using the
landfill model.
Hours of Operation
Daylight Savings Time (March-November)
Monday – Saturday 7 am – 5 pm
Standard Time (November-March)
7 am – 4:30 pm
There is no charge to parish residents for household waste. Commercial cost is $20.00
per ton with a minimum of $10.00.
