WASHINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. _10-472
The following resolution was offered by ___Randy Thomas and seconded by ___Andre’ Johnson:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE ISSUANCE AND DELIVERY OF NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,205,000) OF WATER REVENUE BONDS, INCLUDING ANY BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES ISSUED AS INTERIM FINANCING OF THE BOGUE LUSA WATERWORKS DISTRICT, PARISH OF WASHINGTON, STATE OF LOUISIANA.
WHEREAS, as required by Article VI, Section 15 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, as amended, it is now the desire of the Washington Parish Council, as the governing authority of the Parish of Washington, State of Louisiana (the “Parish”) to approve the issuance and delivery of not to exceed $1,205,000 Water Revenue Bonds (the “Bonds”), by the Bogue Lusa Waterworks District, Parish of Washington, State of Louisiana (the “District”), the proceeds of which will be used by the District to (i) construct and acquire improvements, extensions and replacements to the System, including appurtenant equipment, accessories and properties, both personal and real, a work of public improvement for the Issuer (the “Project”); (ii) fund any capitalized interest accruing during the construction of the Project; and (iii) pay the costs of issuance of the Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the Parish further approves the issuance of bond anticipation notes, as interim financing during the construction of the Project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Parish Council, as the governing authority of the Parish:
SECTION 1. That, in compliance with the provisions of Article VI, Section 15 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, as amended, and in accordance with the request of the Board of Commissioners of the District, the Parish Council approves the issuance and delivery of not to exceed $1,205,000 Water Revenue Bonds of the Bogue Lusa Waterworks District. The Parish Council further approves the issuance of Bond Anticipation Notes in an amount not to exceed $1,205,000, as interim financing during the construction of the Project.
SECTION 2. The Parish President and Parish Council are hereby
authorized and directed to do any and all things necessary and incidental to
carry out the provisions of this resolution and effect the completion of the
Project and to assist Bogue Lusa Waterworks District in carrying out its
functions in connection with the financing.
