RESOLUTION NO.11-535

TO HIRE ENGINEERING SERVICES

FOR THE WASHINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

RELATIVE TO LOUISIANA COMMUNITY

DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS

The following resolution was presented for adoption by the Washington Parish Council on motion offered by ____Michael Fussell____, seconded by ___Andre’ Johnson___.

WHEREAS, the Washington Parish Council certifies that it will pay all of the engineering costs associated with the implementation of the FY2012/2013 LCDBG Program. These costs will include but not be limited to basic design, resident inspection, topographic and/or property surveying, testing, staking, etc. Payment for these services shall be in accordance with the Parish’s contract for professional services. Costs will be based on % of the estimated construction cost in accordance with the Engineering Fee Schedules for the LCDBG Program. These fees shall not exceed the maximum allowable fees for such services allowed under the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant Program for professional engineering services that would otherwise be paid directly by the Office of Community Development.

WHEREAS, the engineering firm chosen for the LCDBG Program shall be Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Washington Parish Council, in Regular Session convened, that the engineering services be performed by Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation.

The above and foregoing having submitted to a vote, the vote thereupon resulted as follows:
