RESOLUTION NO.11-536

The following resolution was offered for adoption by the Washington Parish Council on motion by _Andre’ Johnson__, seconded by ___Michael Fussell_____.

A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT AND APPROVE

WASHINGTON PARISH COMMISSIONERS

TO THE ZACHARY TAYLOR COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Washington Parish Government supports the efforts of the Zachary Taylor Parkway Commission; and,

WHEREAS, the Zachary Taylor Parkway Commission needs approval of appointments for a Commissioner and an Alternate Commissioner to represent Washington Parish as board members to the Zachary Taylor Parkway Commission to implement a successful program; and,

WHEREAS, the Washington Parish Council desires that this program will be successful for the people of Washington Parish and the State of Louisiana to help promote tourism and industry in the parish; and,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED the Washington Parish Council does support and approve the appointment of the following Commissioners to the Board of the Zachary Taylor Parkway Commission to serve two year terms beginning October 12, 2011. Appointments are as follows:

Commissioner: Bob Bateman

Alternate Commissioner: Marilyn Bateman

Having been submitted to a vote, the results were as follows:

YEAS: (7) Nassauer, Johnson, Thomas, Route, Posey, Wheat and Fussell

NAYS: (0)

ABSENT: (0)

ABSTAINED: (0)

The resolution was declared adopted on the __26th__ of __September____, 2011.
