RESOLUTION NO.11-537

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE

WASHINGTON PARISH GOVERNMENT

TO APPY FOR AND ADMINISTER A GRANT

THROUGH THE LOUISIANA GOVERNOR’S

ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAGAP)

The following resolution was offered for adoption on motion by _Randy Thomas___ and seconded by __Greg Route_____.

WHEREAS, the Parish Government intends to apply for a grant through the Louisiana Governor’s Assistance Program (LAGAP); and

WHEREAS, the funds will be used for the fiscal year 2011/2012 to complete interior construction of a building, on land that we own adjacent to the old health unit, a building to be used for centralized storage of public records and as a storage and distribution center in emergency situations.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Washington Parish Council hereby supports the application of the Washington Parish Government for grant funds through the Louisiana Governor’s Assistance Program.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accomplish the purpose of this resolution.

The above and foregoing having been submitted to a vote thereupon resulted as follows:
