A RESOLUTION OF REQUEST TO

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA UNIVERSITY

BUSINESS RESEARCH CENTER

The following resolution was offered for adoption on motion by __Michael Fussell__, seconded by __Ken Wheat__________.

WHEREAS, the state of the economy for our Nation, our State and Washington Parish is striving to make a turn around from its present weakened economic condition, and

WHEREAS, the Washington Parish Council seeks assistance from all reliable resources to make informed decisions, and

WHEREAS, the Washington Parish Council and President Richard Thomas through a cooperative endeavor with Washington Economic Development Foundation recognizes the Business Research Center at Southeastern Louisiana University as a thorough and reliable source for economic data, and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Washington Parish Council request by act of resolution that the Southeastern Louisiana University Business Research Center provide a RETAIL OUTLOOK STUDY so that the results of the study may be used jointly by Washington Parish Government and Washington Economic Development Foundation to make proactive and responsive actions and develop such programs to improve the economic conditions within Washington Parish.

Having been submitted to a vote, the vote resulted as follows:
