RESOLUTION NO.12-546

 

RESOLUTION BY THE WASHINGTON PARISH GOVERNMENT

EXTENDING THE CONTRACT OF PARISH DISPOSAL, INC.

FOR A TERM OF ONE (1) YEAR

 

 

WHEREAS, the existing contract between the Washington Parish Government and Parish Disposal, Inc. for solid waste collection will expire on April 1, 2012; and

 

WHEREAS, Section 10.00 provides for an extension of the contract; and

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Parish to allow for additional time to negotiate and/or develop revisions of the terms and conditions of the contract;

 

BE IT RESOLVED that the Washington Parish Government consents to extending the contract of Parish Disposal, Inc. through April 1, 2013.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Richard N. Thomas, Jr., President, is authorized to enter into an extension of the contract with Parish Disposal, Inc. for a period of one (1) year from April 1, 2012 through April 1, 2013, under such terms and conditions to accomplish the purpose stated herein.

 

 

                        The above and foregoing having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereupon

resulted as follows:

NAYS:  (0)     

 

ABSENT: _(0)__

 

                        The resolution was declared adopted on the _5th_ day of _January____, 2012.
