AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE

WASHINGTON PARISH GOVENERNMENT

TO APPLY FOR AND ADMINISTER A GRANT

THROUGH THE LOUISIANA GOVERNOR’S

ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAGAP)

WHEREAS, the Parish Government intends to apply for a grant through the Louisiana Governor’s Assistance Program (LAGAP); and

WHEREAS, the funds will be used for the fiscal year 2009/2010 to assist in rebuilding one or two sections of the collapsed River Road Bridge.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Washington Parish Council hereby supports the application of the Washington Parish Government for grant funds through the Louisiana Governor’s Assistance Program.

BE IT FURTHER ORDIANED, that the Parish President is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accomplish the purpose of this ordinance.
