ORDINANCE FOR AUTHORIZINGTHE PRESIDENT
TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH
CROSS
& COMPANY MITIGATION BANK –
18083 S.
HARRELL’S FERRY ROAD, BATON ROUGE, LA 70816
THE WASHINGTON PARISH
COUNCIL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION I: To enter into an
agreement with Cross & Company – 18083 S. Harrell’s Ferry Road, Baton
Rouge, LA 70816 represented by Thomas Cross, its President.
SECTION
II: To authorize the Washington
Parish President, Richard N. Thomas, Jr., to purchase from Cross & Company
land mitigation credits.
SECTION
III: Washington Parish desires to
obtain a mitigation site which satisfies its obligation to the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers (USCOE), the United States Department of the Interior, Fish and
Wildlife Services (EWS) and others for wetland damages it has incurred or will
incur elsewhere.
SECTION
IV: For consideration of the
providing of said land mitigation credits on certain property owned by Cross
& Company located in the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, and more
particularly described as being located in sections 14 and 15, Township 4
North, Range 6 East, Washington Parish Agrees to pay $ 3,800.00 cash to Cross
& Company for 1.00 credits of wetland mitigation.
The above and foregoing having been
submitted to a vote, the vote thereupon resulted as follows:
