AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY TAXES FOR THE

2011 TAX ROLL ON ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT

TO TAXATION IN WASHINGTON PARISH

WHEREAS, the Washington Parish Council, governing authority of the Parish of

Washington, State of Louisiana, held a public hearing on __May 23 ___________ , 2011 conducted in accordance with the open meetings law, after due notice was published two times no less than thirty days before the public hearing.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Washington Parish Council, that the following millages are hereby levied on the 2011 tax roll on all property subjects to taxation in Washington Parish.

Rate

Parish & Local-Inside 1.85 Mills

Outside 3.70 Mills

Courthouse Maintenance 1.03 Mills

Health Unit 3.11 Mills

Library 4.60 Mills

Road & Bridges Maintenance 4.13 Mills

Road & Bridges 10.00 Mills

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the proper administrative officials of the Parish of Washington, State of Louisiana, are hereby empowered, authorized and directed to spread said taxes, as herein set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parish for the year 2011, and to make the collections of taxes imposed for an on behalf of the Parish, according to law, and the tax herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privilege on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and the collection thereof, shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage by the Washington Parish Council and signature of the Washington Parish Council Chairman and Parish President.

The foregoing having been submitted for vote, the roll call vote resulted as follows:
