Washington Parish has been awarded a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful for a new program designed to
Keep Washington Parish Clean and Beautiful

As Washington Parish President, and on behalf of the Washington Parish Council, I want to welcome you to the official website for the Washington Parish Government.  I hope you will find everything you need to know about services that may help you and your neighbor every day.  Our goal is to better ensure and preserve the great quality of life in Washington Parish.  Located in the southeast corner, "toe of the boot" of the State of Louisiana, we are known for agriculture, timber and paper industry, watermelons and for our annual Washington Parish Free Fair.  Situated in the rolling hills, with two major rivers, we offer a slower, quieter life-style, than some of our surrounding areas.  Many exciting projects are taking place in our parish and we welcome your personal visit to Washington Parish to see these changes.

                Richard N. Thomas, Jr., President
