The current River forecast calls for the Bogue Chitto at
Franklinton to crest at 13 foot and the Pearl River at Bogalusa to crest at
20.5 foot; however, both forecasts are subject to change. Parish President
Richard Thomas urges all residents around the rivers to remain vigilant and

After a teleconference briefing at 430pm Saturday, Sept 3,
2011, the NWS has stressed not to be lulled into believing this will not be a
serious event. The storm has been mostly stationary throughout the day, which

Weather Service, Tropical Storm Lee is currently reaching the Louisiana coast
and is moving at 1mph with maximum sustained winds of 60mph. Heavy rainfall is
still the greatest threat

According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm
Lee in the north Gulf of Mexico will move slowly toward the Louisiana Coast
over the next few days. A large area of tropical showers and
thunderstorms associated with this system will advance northward into the mid
gulf coast region through the weekend

Tropical Storm Lee has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. Due to
the slow movement of this system, heavy rainfall will be our greatest threat. The
rainfall forecast through Wednesday morning is currently 10-12 inches.
